All day long, since I woke up this morning, I’ve been dealing with a dull nagging headache and a twinge of discomfort in my throat. I also have a nice amount of work screaming out, “Finish me!” Well, a little while ago, someone got in touch with me just to let me know that I had impacted their life through my music and ministry. Although the light aching in my head and throat didn’t subside after getting that message, the reminder came at a perfect time. It gave me the boost I need to press through my slightly-under-the-weather-day and carry out the assignments I have committed myself to completing. After all, someone needs to be encouraged. Here I Am

Last evening, before settling in for bed, I went to my Yahoo! homepage to log into my email. I needed to catch up on some missed messages since, as some of my Facebook friends know, my husband and I were a little tied up with the bird that flew into our house yesterday morning. Thankfully, we managed to get him out! Anyway, I read the story of how Pastor Marvin Sapp's new album, Here I Am, has broken a record for all previous gospel albums. It sits at the #2 spot on Billboard's Top 200 and no other gospel artist has managed to do that. That's huge. I Got it Again!

Yesterday I interviewed international praise and worship leader Israel Houghton for the upcoming issue of EEW Magazine. We had a really great conversation and you know what? He echoed the same thing I blogged about yesterday; that is, the importance of using your everyday life. I was thinking, I got it again! The same thing God placed in my heart yesterday came right back. This time, through the worship leader of one of the largest churches in America, Lakewood Church. That means the Lord really wants me and you to get this thing. Israel and his wife homeschool their 3 children and he told me that the most important thing is family. He said, "I am a Pastor. Ministry in the Strangest Places

You never know what God wants to do through you at a particular time or place. You can never fully anticipate how He will position you to be a blessing to someone else. But I want to challenge you today to be sensitive to God's leading and timing. Don't ever be so focused on your own needs and wants, that God can't trust you to sow into the lives of others... even when it's inconvenient. This week-end I was on my way to a speaking engagement. I Missed Blogging Yesterday

Yesterday I deliberately took a day off from blogging; I convinced myself that perhaps I should take a break from blogging on week-ends... you know, a new trend of sorts. But I was miserable! How ironic. I'm blogging about not blogging, and why I can't not blog. Funny thing is, many folks fight to MAKE themselves keep their blogs up to date. I, on the other hand, fought with myself NOT to write on yesterday... I guess you see how well that "No blogging on the week-end" declaration panned out. Not very well I guess. Blogging, for me, isn't just a pastime. It's a ministry. I genuinely believe that I don't just write for me. I write as an instrument God uses to connect with others. I seek Him before I write. As I was seeking Him for guidance and direction regarding some business dealings, as well as my personal ministry, He began speaking to me. I want to ask you a question today. What are you carrying around inside of you? What have you been holding in, that’s just screaming to get out? What is it? A business? A ministry? A book? An invention? C’mon, think about it. There’s got to be something. Now, you might wonder why I’m asking you this. Well, the reason is very simple. I want to stimulate and motivate you toward action. I want to be the impetus that assists you in realizing your maximum potential. It’s time. No, really it is. I’m not just saying that.
