A couple weeks ago, a ‘Daily Cup’ reader named Debbie wrote the kindest message, sent it to my staff and they forwarded it to me.
It contained a heart-warming message and a prayer.
She said:
The Spirit led me to this website back in December. I have been so blessed as it has been my lifeline during this season of adversity in my life. God is so strategic in his provision. He knows what you need when you need it. Each message, each day has been for me!
I anxiously await to see the email every day, reading and praying over and over again. With that said, I am so grateful for Mrs. Hobbs, her anointing and obedience.
It is my prayer that God will return to her 100 fold everything she pours out day to day.
In Jesus Name!
I receive that 100 fold blessing, Debbie. Thank you for that prayer.
I am praying the same for you and everyone reading this today.
I believe God will favor you with a 100 fold return, just as He did Isaac in Genesis 26.
The Bible says in verse 12, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.”
You know what I find so remarkable about this scripture? In verse 1, we see that there was a famine in the land, a time of lack, where there was no harvest to reap.
But when God told Isaac to dwell in Gerar, which was hostile Philistine territory, He had a plan to bless His servant.
You might be thinking, "Now wait just a minute. You mean to tell me the Lord sent his servant Isaac, the promised child, into a famine, on enemy turf and blessed him in the middle of that?"
That is exactly what I’m telling you. That’s what the Bible tells us happened.
Friend, there is no situation too desperate; too hard; too far gone; too desolate; or too hopeless for God to work out for your good--something I shared on Facebook earlier today.
When Isaac was obedient to God, even though he was positioned in unfavorable conditions, when he planted seeds, God allowed him to reap 100 fold return.
Wow.
That’s what favor looks like.
God will give you abundance in the middle of lack and fruitfulness in a barren land!
Oh yes He will.
A lot of times, however, we get discouraged in the wilderness during times of lack, famine and barrenness, don't we? We look at our situation and say, “Why did God allow me to end up here?”
But he didn’t allow the wilderness to abandon you in it, but to show Himself strong on your behalf.
You see, without these negative experiences, how could we ever possibly know God could make a “way in the wilderness” as Isaiah 42:19 says?
How would you and I recognize that the Lord would “make a way out of no way,” if we never had our back against the wall with seemingly no escape?
I know you may not prefer what you’re facing today, but God is going to show off in your life just as He did in Isaac's all those years ago.
There is a 100 fold return coming your way, but it can only be received in response to your obedience, faithfulness and faith in the promises of God.
Get ready for it and also, please join me in praying for the individuals on our “Thoughtful Thursdays” prayer list today.
Though the sheer volume of requests makes it so I am unable to post them all, know that my intercessory prayer team and I read every single one and are standing in faith with you for a breakthrough today.

My husband is a minister. To make a long story short, we were having some unresolved issues (over the years) and because of his frustrations with me (the marriage), a platonic friendship with a young lady at our church turned into a short lived emotional affair. I found out June of 2013, I forgive them but in all honesty it still is tough at times because they still have to “work” together on a lot of things. I need prayer to overcome the residue this has left in my marriage and also in my confidence/self-esteem. I don't want to live in the past nor do I want to be a bitter and insecure woman. I want to trust my husband is doing the right things, but I constantly wonder if they will continue (they are accountable to our pastor) to be mature adults and walk in integrity. Please keep me and my husband lifted in prayer that we will overcome this. Thank you.

About two (2) years ago, I was escorted out of a church that I had pastored for 8 years. The church body was informed by the Board of Deacons that they had made a decision to get “rid” of me and that they the church body had no “say-so” in their decision. It was one of the worst emotional experiences I had ever gone through, and even to this day I ask God “WHY” the very people who I thought cared and supported me are “nowhere to be found” and are still going to the church, where they have a new pastor who has allegedly slept with every woman he can. It appears that as a body of believers we love “Pimps in the Pulpit.” This not only affected my life but the life of my family. We have a hard time trusting the people of God and the church. Most importantly I now question God and why this happened and how does this apply to his word that “All things work together for my good”. What good can come out of this?

Dear Daily Cup family,
Please pray with me. God has given me an assignment that is obviously beyond my capabilities and knowledge. To be honest I feel afraid, confused and have no idea where to start. Please stand with me as I believe God to help me grow in boldness and get direction regarding the assignment.
God, thank You for giving me assurance that even in my dryest season, my toughest circumstance and my most unbearable wilderness, You are able to bring abundance, favor and blessings. Right now, I open my heart to receive all You have for me. I believe, by faith, for my 100 fold return as I obey Your word, walk in Your will and remain faithful in every season. In Jesus' name, Amen.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
