If He told
you to start it, He has given you the grace to finish it.
Just trust Him and don’t quit.
This is the word I feel led to share with you today, particularly if you have begun (or are soon to begin) an assignment God has placed upon your heart. You have what it takes to see it through to completion.
Now, that does not mean you won’t face setbacks and challenges on the way to the finish line. There may be detours, a few breakdowns, and some momentary rest stops.
Just make sure that after you regroup, you get back up and keep on trying.
And on those days where you feel really unsure and exhausted by the struggle, remember that there is a special reason the Lord chose you for this assignment. Don’t let Him down and don’t let yourself down by failing to believe you are capable of completing it.
He never tells you “Let’s go to the other side” and then leaves you hanging out to dry.
If he led you to it, my friend, He has given you the grace to get through it.
God knows exactly what you’re working with, working on, and working through.
And no, He did not make a mistake by telling you to move forward in the direction you’re going. You may not see the full picture clearly just yet, but it will come together.
Just rely on Him and trust His wisdom.
Look for His guidance and you will see the road emerge. The route He has you go may be unconventional, but keep your eyes, ears, mind, and heart open to Him.
You’ll get there… one step at a time.
You have come too far to turn back now.
To encourage you to continue going, I’m stirring Hebrews 10:38 NIV into your cup of inspiration. It says, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him."
When you drink down the contents of your cup today, you will be reminded that the work God has started in your life, will be completed if you don’t give up.
Though the going might be rough and the road ahead long, don’t abort the mission. Don’t stop pushing until you see what God has spoken come to pass.
It’s going to happen.
Now let’s pray.
God, I believe You have led me down the path I’m going. But I have hit some roadblocks and setbacks that are really trying my faith. I pray today that You will renew my assurance of Your promises and strengthen me to keep pushing forward in the face of adversity. I believe, despite it all, that You have given me the grace to finish. Right now, I am making a conscious choice to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
