You've been doing all that praying.
Are you still believing? Or have you let doubt creep in and choke out your faith? Are you weary from long, arduous, hard-fought battles that seemingly never end?
Remember what I talked about yesterday?
It’s time to get it done, but the enemy will do his best to discourage you with a feeling of being unequipped—even forgotten and forsaken by God. But he’s a liar.
When your brightest dreams and greatest hopes remain unfulfilled for so long, you get this sense of being adrift, lost, purposeless, and alone. Quite honestly, at some point in the past, you may have quit believing altogether.
You were likely thinking, if I knew I had to go through all of this, I would have never signed on for this “purpose” thing!
I know you thought your life's path would be much smoother. You didn't have any inclination that your journey toward divine destiny would be fraught with pain, struggle, heartache, and numerous setbacks.
But don't fret if things look bleak today.
Just remind yourself that God has your tomorrow firmly in His grasp. Believe me when I say, I know how it feels to wait in earnest expectation of good things to come, and watch time pass by—days, weeks, months, years—and still, things look not so good.
During these moments, no matter how much you try to be optimistic, it is not easy to continue believing.
I have been right there where you are. But after coming through that dark place and seeing God’s mighty delivering hand at work in my own life, I now know with a surety that, God will bring you through it.
Just trust Him.
To help you do that, I'm stirring Isaiah 41:10 in the GOD'S WORD Translation into your cup of inspiration today. It says, "Don't be afraid, because I am with you. Don't be intimidated; I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will support you with my victorious right hand."
When you drink down the contents of your cup, you will be reminded to place your confidence in the Lord and refuse to give up on your faith.
In His presence and His arms is where you'll find the strength to face difficult realities with a positive outlook.
With renewed confidence, tell yourself, "I don't care where I am today. My present reality does not undermine, nor does it negate my future destiny."
God is able to do the impossible. All you have to do is believe.
Don’t give up the fight. Don't stop trusting. Don't stop thanking God in advance for what He's already done.
On the other hand, stop complaining. Stop worrying. Stop stressing.
Most of all...stop wavering.
If you're going to believe God, then believe.
Now let’s pray.
God, the evidence suggests that my faith is in vain. But in my spirit, I know better. Today, I pray that when the road gets hard and dark, and I feel weary, that You will help me trust You. And put me in remembrance of Your faithfulness to perfect everything that concerns me according to Psalms 138:8. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
