Vroom! Vroom!
Hunched over on his knees, our oldest son Kedar glided along the hardwood floors completely engrossed in his solitary playtime activities.
The enthusiastic young Nascar fan used his imagination to transform our home into a high-speed racing track. Not one to let him have all the fun on his own, I dropped to my knees and joined in, turning my lips into vibrating motors.
He laughed out loud, amused by my silly automobile impersonation.
Together, the two of us giggled and pushed around the red, yellow, blue and green Lego blocks he had (in his mind) fashioned into cars. I only knew what the multi-colored, inter-locking plastic bricks were because of the sounds and movements Kedar was making.
Had I been asked to identify the shapes without body language cues, I would have been clueless! But our 9-year-old was fully convinced that his artistic representation perfectly resembled the real thing, proving that what you see is not as important as how you see.
The vision of your mind, the seat of your imagination, gives you the ability to see beyond what the natural eye can perceive.
This is why, when it comes to living your purpose, God wants you to tap into your spiritual insight, rather than being limited by your natural eyesight.
Got that?
Your eyes can only see what is in front of you, but your vision allows you to see what is ahead of you, in terms of your future.
And I believe, in 2013, God wants to give you “new vision," which will require you to pray and seek after Him. Then you'll be able to receive the power to perceive in your spirit, what has not yet manifested in your reality.
Today, I’m stirring the prophetic words of Isaiah 11:2 NIV into your cup of inspiration. “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him--the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”
When you drink down the contents of your cup, by the power of the Holy Ghost, you will no longer focus on what you see with your eyes, or what you hear with your ears. But instead, you will open your heart to be guided by the Lord.; He will lead you into all truth, righteousness, and purpose.
Our Heavenly Father will download wisdom, vision, revelation, and insight into your spirit to show you His will for your life.
Do you believe it?
If you’re ready for this new vision, remember to abide by James 4:8, which says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”
My friend, the Lord has great things in store for you, far beyond what is in your current view. All you have to do is remain in position to receive divine revelation.
Now let’s pray.
God, please help me not to judge my circumstances by what I see with my eyes, or what I hear with my ears. But remind me to be governed by what You have revealed to me by Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
