Last night,
I made a video blog to thank everyone who supported the new single, “It Ain’t
Over.” I appreciate all the downloads, encouragement, and celebration of God’s
manifestation in my life. It was all very overwhelming for me.
While recording the personal message, I made a very important distinction. I told the viewers of the video exactly who I made it for in the wee hours of the morning.
Though I love everybody and appreciate individuals who pop in every now and again to see what I’m up to and say hello, that recorded message was intended for a group of people that fall into an entirely different class.
Unlike those who stand on the outskirts of my life and watch, there are certain ones divinely assigned to me, that express their love with unflinching support, prayer, encouragement, and consistency.
My heartfelt thank you’s were directed toward them.
I am truly grateful for these folks and have no words to express how much joy they bring to me.
Who are those people in your life? Identify them.
I often say, you have to learn to compartmentalize relationships. Find out where people fit. Everyone won’t play the same role or occupy the same space and that’s okay. God knows exactly how to handpick the persons who will be a tremendous blessing to you.
You may be acquainted with and tied to hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people, but God only has a specific group predestined to walk with you through life.
Who are they?
If you don’t know yet, pray that God will reveal it. I promise you. He will.
When you have the right people in the right place in your world, no matter how many or few, you experience more peace, joy and fulfillment, and a whole lot less drama.
Even Jesus had an inner circle!
Though he was loved, revered, and followed by many, those who truly walked closely with Him were few.
As you’re reading this, I want you to know God has a mighty and wonderful plan for your life. He also has key individuals assigned to you who will love you unconditionally, build you up, pray you through and see the absolute best in you.
To remind you of this, I’m stirring Proverbs 18:24 into your cup of inspiration. It says, “One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
When you drink down the contents of your cup, you will be reminded that there are people God assigns to you that will stick closely by your side and love you the way you deserve to be loved. In the meantime, remember, no one will ever love you the way God can.
When all else fails, His love never does.
Now, let’s pray.
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:17b-19 NIV)
