When my mother Annie was diagnosed with breast cancer and became very sick from chemotherapy and life-threatening infections, I wanted so desperately to minister to her. One day, I walked into her hospital room and she was crying. She was burning up with fever, but her tears had nothing to do with her physical condition.
Mom wanted to sense the presence of the Lord near her. She poured out her heart and told me how she needed assurance of the Father’s closeness. Silently I prayed, holding back tears of my own. I felt so helpless, but I knew God was able to touch my mother and reveal Himself to her through her season of sickness.
As you can easily imagine, I wanted my mother, who was physically, mentally, and spiritually depleted during her chemo treatments, to be uplifted again.
When I went home that night, God told me just what to do. Please read the rest of my story HERE and I pray you will be encouraged by it, and be inspired to give Jesus Calling by Sarah Young a try.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, encourage, and empower you!
