If you’re a faithful supporter and follower of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, under which Your Daily Cup of Inspiration falls, then you know I recently began a new radio show (Read more about it here). It has been a wonderful blessing to enter so many homes and hearts each night.
With the debut of CROSS CULTURE IN HD weeknights from 6-7pm Eastern, there are many additional things that have been added to my schedule: interviews, meetings, and lots more.
If I had to take on this new role in my own strength, it would be a real struggle to juggle. Thank God the Lord is with me, holding my hand, directing, guiding, and helping me every step of the way.
Yesterday, while I was being interviewed by an Atlanta radio station, the host mentioned me being on the Black Christian News Network’s list of the “70 Most Influential Black Christian History-Makers.” He wanted to know how I balanced family life with my numerous entrepreneurial roles.
Aside from the practical things I do like setting boundaries (I have to say no to a lot of things!) I rely completely and totally on the Lord. He shows me which path to take. He gives me the fortitude I need to forge ahead. And thankfully, He pours His wisdom into me so I can rise to the occasion when God-ordained opportunities present themselves.
Through Him I am able to do all things. He takes the struggle out of juggling life as I follow His leading. That doesn’t mean every day is easy; I just blogged about having a rough day at the office. But when things get tough, the Lord always shows me what to do; what modifications to make; and how to manage the multiple responsibilities He has given me.
When I obey His voice, the chaos is replaced with order.
And if you allow the Lord to guide you, He’ll order your steps and your life. He will take the struggle out of juggling it all.
All you have to do is what I do; ask for His wisdom and guidance. His word promises He would give it to all who ask.
To remind you to consult God for the wisdom you need to do what He has purposed you to do in life, I’m stirring James 1:5 NASB into your cup of inspiration. It says, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
When you drink down the contents of your cup today, you’ll be reminded that the wisdom to juggle it all comes from the Lord. As long as you seek after Him, all the answers you need will manifest. Just stay connected to God.
In John 15:5 NIV, Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
Apart from Him you and I can do nothing.
But with God… oh my! The struggle to juggle leaves and all things become possible through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.
Now let’s pray.
Lord, I thank You for being my refuge, strength, and guide through every season of my life. As I pursue divine purpose and strive to live according to Your will, help me to always rely on Your strength and not my own. Let me be ever mindful that it is only You who makes all things possible. I praise You right now, oh God, for empowering me to complete every assignment You’ve given me. Today, I move forward in Your strength, wherein lies no struggle! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
