Today, I'm requesting that you read the following prayer request from a woman named Sherley and join me in praying earnestly for her and her family. As we seek the Lord today, I want to add the scripture God gave me early this morning during my prayer time, to your cup of inspiration.
Jeremiah 32:27KJV: "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"
No, there is nothing too hard for the Lord! Right now, as you join with me in faith, we're expecting God to show up, amen? *NOTE: The other prayer requests submitted by individuals who do not wish to be listed on the blog today are indeed being covered privately.

I will never pass up an opportunity for someone to pray for my family. My husband and I recently received a letter from the IRS. Apparently my CPA did not add the amount we had to pull out of our retirement when my husband lost his job, on our 2009 taxes. So, now we owe them $3,983! My family owns a home in NC (still paying mortgage) we had to leave for this current job and we are renting a home. We own a '97 Civic (175K miles proud of it) and a 2003 Impala. We have no Wii, PSP or anything else. We recently purchased a new TV only because the satellite man said we could not get reception on the old tube. So, we aren't living out of our means. We both have graduate school student loans and one credit card bill. We have followed the rules. Went to school, got married, paid bills, prayed, praised, took care of our responsibilities, but we can't seem to get this money monkey off our backs. I am a speech-language pathologist in the public schools and he is a P.E teacher and high school football coach. I've recently started trying to see clients outside of school but it is so difficult full time therapist with two little ones and a husband who, during the season, comes home after 8. I can only physically do so much and I don't want to take any time away from being with my girls.
This year we started following Dave Ramsey's plan to get out of debt. We want to live debt free and to be able to give without any reservations. Despite our circumstances we made a commitment to pay our tithes. We have been doing very well and have been making it. However, it seems every time we take a breath we are dealt with another blow. I hate having to even entertain the thought of not paying our tithes just to get buy. Please pray that we will continue to be obedient and continue to pay our tithes, continue to be faithful, and that He will make a way out of no way. Please pray that the Civic will continue to carry us where we need to go (we cannot afford a new car). Please pray that one day soon, money will no longer be the burden on our spirits and that of so many others. Reports indicate things will get worse before they get any better. Please pray that the times we spend worrying will be far shorter than the time we spend praising.
My husband and I are very thankful for His grace and mercy thus far. I ask myself, how have we been able to hold on to our house in NC and make a rent payment every month? And my only answer is "His Grace." Despite our problems, our blessings continue to surpass our issues. We have 5 yr and 3 yr old happy and healthy little girls, a 17 year relationship, a 9 year marriage that has never had an argument about money, and family members on both sides who, if need be, will help us carry the load. We are very thankful. I thank you for allowing me to share our concerns and for praying for us. I was reading your blog today and saw the prayer request tab and the bible verse Proverbs 126:5. I had just gotten off the phone with the IRS crying and trying to figure out my options. I am not sure why I broke down on the phone but I did. The lady on the phone was so pleasant with me. That verse settled my spirit. It was truly right on time.
God, for You, there is nothing too hard. You are greater than our greatest issues and able to supernaturally provide in our time of need. And Lord, today, I'm praying that, according to Philippians 4:19, you would provide for the needs of Sherley and her family. As we stand together as a community of believers, we touch and agree, from near and far, for a supernatural turnaround in their lives, according to Your will. And for everyone not listed here today, You already know what those needs are. I humbly ask that You show yourself strong on their behalf. Even for those who, out of obedience to Your call of intercession on their lives, have stopped to pray today, please stretch out your hand in their lives as well. And we give You glory in advance for what's already done! In Jesus' name, Amen.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may today's cup of inspiration uplift, empower, and encourage you.
