It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas—a very, very white one. All day long it’s been snowing! Although I love the snow—it’s so gorgeous—when the wind starts blowing it around, it can be quite difficult to see while driving. And when you combine low visibility with icy roads, that can make for some pretty treacherous travel conditions.
Hopefully the flurries will stop soon, because I need to run a few errands this evening in preparation for a new video shoot. Originally, my label set up a shoot for my song, Purpose. Remember that? Everything went so well and many of you have been inquiring about when that music video will be released.
Well, there has been a change of plan and that video is no longer being released.
But…there is a new song.
And it’s coming at you soon.
This particular composition came together in the studio with my producer unexpectedly—right after I got a bit of bad news. I was feeling pretty low. But then God began to write lyrics through me and place this beautiful melody in my heart.
And the new song took my mind off of what was wrong, and carried me to a different place. I believe it will do the same thing for you. You know, after finishing the song, I could really see God’s hand orchestrating the switch. I think this is the one He wants me to release at this time.
It is a very unique song, radically different from anything I’ve ever written before; but I’m thankful for the change of plan.
As I often tell you, sometimes things don’t work out the way we expect because God has a new, different, and better path He wants us to travel. So, the next time God allows your plans to to be derailed, know that you’re about to give birth to something totally unexpected!

Today’s Prayer: Lord, help me not to get stuck on my will. I want to be open and willing to embrace Your purpose and plan for my life, even when it greatly differs from my own. Please place a “Yes Lord” in my heart, so that I will gladly and willingly submit to what You have ordained for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
