I missed you guys on Friday! It was quite a busy day shooting the video for Purpose and I didn’t have a chance to blog. My days and weeks have been a bit cluttered lately, but the Lord is giving me strength day by day.
Well, the video shoot went exceptionally well, so thanks to all of you who prayed! There were so many things that just fell into place that my team and I didn’t even plan out.
God did it.
The schedule we set up ended up being totally rearranged. Opportunities we hadn’t even thought of manifested. The Lord brought things together that we didn’t strategize, anticipate, or coordinate just to remind all of us that He is sovereign and in control.
Each of us needs that type reminder from time to time.
You know, I had to step back for a moment and reflect on how great God is, because many of the avenues I thought I would pursue with ease, have not opened up to me. Some of the people I thought I surely would be able to depend on have not been there for me during this season of my life. But God has stepped in and taken over in miraculous ways.
I wonder. Has God ever given you favor in unexpected places and totally reworked your plans? If so, then you know how it feels to recognize that it is not your toiling, expertise, or abilities that make things happen. It is God working on your behalf.
He is in control.
So, if the things and people you thought you would, could, and should be able to rely on have turned out to be the opposite of dependable, take it from me. Don’t be discouraged. Just know that God has another way. A better way.
It’s called His way.
It is with a thankful heart that I write today’s blog post. I am grateful for God’s faithfulness to perform every promise He has ever spoken. And as you read this, I want you to pay attention to how God is orchestrating and navigating things in your life. See how His hand is crafting the details of your destiny.
And although your plan may not be in effect, His divine will and plan certainly is.
Today’s Prayer: God as I work toward being who and what You have called me to be, help me to remember that it is not my own doing, but it is Your will and plan that will prevail. I thank You for a heart and mind that is willing to lay down my plans and embrace Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
