Today, I was busy doing something when a song started playing in my head; but I wasn’t very familiar with it. This happens from time-to-time. God will drop a little melody in my heart that I’ll have to go and look up in order to hear the full lyrical content.
Well, I went on over to YouTube and typed in the words I kept hearing repeated in my head. “Your latter will be greater than the rest…” The search results brought up music from an artist named Martha Munizzi.
Essentially, the words encourage the listener to know that the best is yet to come! After listening I began thanking God for the comforting word He spoke to me through that song. You see, I’m in the process of working on a project that I started a while ago. The first time around, things went pretty well initially; but in the end, it didn’t all come together the way I had hoped.
So I began praying that God would bless the endeavor and prosper it. Then, that song began playing in my head. It was indeed His response to let me know that no matter what had gone wrong before, the future would be better than my past.
I love it when the Lord speaks a word of encouragement right when I need it. And I believe a word awaits you too. No matter how many obstacles you’re facing, the answers are never far away.
In fact, if you just incline your ear to God and open your heart, you’ll perceive that He’s sending you a message. Maybe from a song, sermon, book, scripture, or soft voice in your time of quiet prayer and meditation.
However He chooses to speak, you can be sure that He’ll give you just what you need… just in time.
Today’s Prayer: God, only You fully know and understand what I face in my everyday life. Help me to confidently believe that a word from You awaits me in my time of need. And please help me to be open to receiving that word in whatever form You see fit to send it to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
