I had a photo shoot this week-end. Sheer torture. It's all a part of me gearing up for the release of my first single from the upcoming album. Well, if you know me, you know I strongly dislike taking pictures! For some reason, I have the hardest time posing for the camera and relaxing. In the middle of striking what should have been some serious poses on Saturday, numerous times, I lost my composure and just cracked up laughing.
There were a few moments when the photographer even got tickled from watching me. It was all so over the top for me that I just couldn't take myself seriously. Underneath that wig, full lashes, make up, and some pretty "interesting" (code word for crazy-looking) outfits, was just plain old Dianna wanting to get out of all that extra stuff and get back home as soon as possible. I felt like a little kid playing dress up, only, it wasn't as fun as it used to be when I was a young child.
After my photo shoot, I was exhausted. When I got back home, I was sharing with my husband, Kenya, how much goes into being a "recording artist." It's a lot of work! There are so many different components and to be quite honest, it can all feel very overwhelming.
I'm telling you; if God didn't keep giving me songs to share and impressing upon my heart to minister to His people through music, I would have no parts of it. That's why I'm so glad He keeps encouraging and holding my hand through this entire process. Without the Lord, I wouldn't make it. But, because He is on my side, anointing me, all things are possible.
I'm so grateful for His anointing, aren't you? If you and I didn't have it, we would be in a whole heap of trouble. Just stop for a moment and think about how in the world you would cope with everything you have to deal with on a regular basis if God didn't equip you to tackle it head on.
There's no way you would survive, right? I sure know I wouldn't. Not for a minute.
But since you've been chosen to fill the shoes you're walking in, and because you have the Holy Spirit at work in your life, you've got all you need. You possess the supernatural ability to get the job done. Despite what obstacles you might be facing, or how big the task God has set before you is, you can handle it.
Today, I encourage you to confidently step into your destiny, knowing that right now, as long as the Greater One is dwelling on the inside, all you need is already in you. Amen?
Amen.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
