Have you ever lost track of time during the course of a week and assumed there were more days left than there actually were? Maybe not, but this very thing happened to me on Wednesday. You see, I thought Wednesday was Tuesday.
I still cannot tell you how in the world I lost track of an entire day!
The worst part was, I had a really big project to complete by week's end, so to find out that I was one day shy of the time I thought I had, was not good news at all. When I came to grips with my new reality, I was not too pleased. Nevertheless, I didn't have time to stand around sulking.
I had to get down to business... and fast.
I prayed, focused, and trusted God to help me through it. Thankfully, as He always does, the Lord gave me the strength I needed to accomplish the task in less time than I thought it would take. Turns out that, I didn't even miss that "lost day."
What I thought was critical ended up being inconsequential.
This is true of many things we concern ourselves with on a daily basis. You know how it can be when it seems like you don't have enough of something, right? The enemy tries to plague your mind and make you feel like you won't make it through and that you'll go under.
But today, I want to let you know that if you put your trust in Jesus, He'll take that little bit that you do have and make it work.
I know it can be uncomfortable when you feel like you don't have enough. Perhaps, you may be lacking the time, money, strength, patience, endurance, peace, or even motivation to confront what you're facing in your life. But you have to remember that, "Little becomes much when you place it in the Master's hand."
If He can feed a multitude with two fish and five barley loaves (Matthew 6:41), He can meet your need even when you're only working with a little bit.
As you read this post, whatever storm or struggle you might be up against at this very moment, know that the Lord is on your side. He won't leave or forsake you in the lean times. Rather, He'll show Himself to be Jehovah Jireh, your provider. I've tried Him and I know Him for myself.
Whether it's helping you stretch a dollar to make ends meet, or showing you how to maximize your time to meet a deadline, God is a very present help when you need Him most.
So, don't worry when you only have a little bit. Just remind yourself of what the word of God says: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
