Unfortunately, I permanently lost certain elements I had worked so diligently on.
After I got over the initial shock, I just picked up from where I left off. After all, there was nothing I could do about it.
You know, sometimes, life can feel an awful lot like that, can't it?
During some seasons, we get blindsided by unexpected storms and in the process we lose things. But thankfully, unlike my unreliable computer system, we, by the grace of God, can recover everything we may have lost.
Today, as we pray for those on our Thoughtful Thursdays list, I want you to be encouraged and know that whatever you're facing, as you pray for others, God is bringing restoration to you. No matter what the need is, God is able to work things out. My prayer is that the Lord would touch each one of you that has taken special time out to go to God on behalf of another.
Please join me in praying for the following people:
1. A woman who wishes to remain anonymous is in dire need of financial breakthrough. Almost two
years ago, she felt led by God to go to school full time to complete a Masters degree, which meant she had to quit her job of
six years. However, since earning her degree last August, she has been applying for jobs with no success. Now things have compounded and gotten complicated. Her debt is mounting; one month's mortgage payment has already been missed and the second one is due soon, with no money coming in. Because of this, she is experiencing intense anxiety and having trouble sleeping at night. So, we're banding together and praying for God to favor her with gainful employment, so that she can get back on her feet again. We know God is able to give her the help she needs, amen?
2. A woman named Marlene is grappling with intense feelings of fear and she wants to be free from them. For reasons not fully known, Marlene has a deep-seated fear that
something bad will happen to her whenever she enters into a train or a bus. Although she knows this amounts to nothing more than an attack of the enemy, she still struggles not to feed into those foreboding feelings. Today, we're asking God to deliver Marlene from that stronghold of fear, and replace it with greater faith in God's faithfulness to keep and protect her. We're believing Him for supernatural peace to overtake her, as she learns to rest in God's love and care.
3. We're sending up prayer for a woman who would like to remain anonymous. She is an illegal immigrant who has lived,
worked, and paid taxes in the US for 14 years. Yet, she has been unable to obtain permanent residence here, and she desperately needs God to intervene to help her gain US citizenship. Also, this same woman is on the verge of being evicted from her home due to her inability to find permanent work. She has a precious 5 year old son who needs her to provide. So, we're asking God, who is rich in mercy, to make provision for the needs of her and her young son.
4. A woman named Lucinda, who has a passion for practical ministry, has a vision to start a group home for pregnant girls in dire need of assistance. She believes this vision is from the Lord and is seeking God to give her the necessary favor and connections to make it a reality. We're also asking God to bless Lucinda and her children, as she seeks to raise them up to fear the Lord. As we seek the Lord, we are confident that wherever there is divine purpose and vision, there is also supernatural provision given by God to bring it to pass. So, let us ask God to make Lucinda's path clear, so she will know which direction to take.
5. A blog reader named Ntandose Gamed, who resides in the Gauteng Province, in South Africa is praying for God to show her how to begin pursuing her divine purpose as a career. She no longer wants to work just for the sake of being paid. Rather, Ntandose desires to live out the purpose for which God predestined her fulfill.
Thank you for praying with me today. I appreciate you taking the time to stand in faith on behalf of those that really need something from the Lord.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
