Sharon and Ronald Walker, a husband and wife from the Houston, Texas area wrote into the blog to tell me that they pray together every Thursday for the individuals listed here. That sincerely touched my heart. I'm so thankful for Sharon, Ronald, and all of you out there reading The Daily Cup of Inspiration, and taking time out to stand in faith with me week after week.
That's so awesome.
I love being able to go to God on behalf of someone else's needs together. So today, please join me in praying for those on our Thoughtful
Thursdays list:
3.
A young lady named Cherise Dixon is recovering after being severely beaten up
by her mother's drunken boyfriend. While she is physically wounded, she is also
emotionally scarred because her mother has chosen to stay with the man who
assaulted her only daughter. I need you to seek God on behalf of Cherise along with me, for
both physical and emotional healing, and also, to break that stronghold off her
mother's mind. Her mom is also being physically abused and needs to get out of
this unhealthy and dangerous relationship.
4.
A man named Walter wrote into the blog and asked for prayer for his struggle
with homosexuality. He was molested by an uncle when he was between the tender ages of 5-12. As a result, at 27 years old, Walter still struggles with his sexuality, but has never
acted on his urges. He is currently engaged to be married, and his fiancee,
though she knows about the abuse, is not aware of his inward struggle. Let us
pray for God to release Walter from this internal conflict that has resulted
from the introduction of perversion into his life at an early age. We're asking
God to make Walter whole and bless him as he endeavors to create a lasting
relationship with the woman he believes God has brought into his life.
5.
Finally, we're praying for a 42 year old mother name Julissa who is mourning
the loss of her one year old daughter, Shea, from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
(SIDS). Last week, she went to check on her in her crib, and the baby wasn't
breathing. The paramedics were unable to revive Shea and Julissa is beside
herself with grief. Let us pray for God's peace and comfort in her life, as she
grieves the loss of her only child.
