I'm so very thankful that I've seen for myself the hand of God at work. This has given me a deep and abiding reverence for the Lord and His work. Also, experiencing His supernatural power has taught me that prayer mixed with faith is both vital to and effective in the life of every believer.
Sadly, so many people fail to realize the power we possess when we seek God with our whole heart. They imagine the Lord to be a "mystical force" who is somewhere beyond the clouds out there in the great unknown. While God is a Supreme Being and all powerful, He is also a personal God who sees and cares about our everyday affairs. Through Jesus Christ, the one who can be "touched with the feeling of our infirmities," (Hebrews 4:15) we can go boldly before God's throne and obtain grace to help us in our time of need. Amen?
Today, I want you to believe God with me for everyone on our Thoughtful Thursday's list.
1. Join me in praying for Shannon Griggs whose father Ray took his own life two years ago and now, she is terrified that she will follow in his footsteps. But we come against those thoughts today and pray that God would minister to Shannon's needs and let her know that she doesn't have to repeat the mistake that her father, Ray, made.
2. Annette Williams is requesting prayer for her aunt who is struggling with her faith after witnessing her pastor's public indiscretion. Annette is requesting that the Daily Cup readers join her in praying that her aunt will see that even though man fails, God never does!
3. A woman named India wrote, "After losing my house to foreclosure, I just learned that my 27 year old daughter has breast cancer and this is more than I can take!" Please join me in holding India up in prayer and asking for the peace of God to comfort her during this difficult season. We know God is able.
4. A young woman named Tyler Washington is praying for her mother Pam who is addicted to crack cocaine. Tyler says her entire family has given up on her mom because this has been going on for five years in a row. But Tyler is believing God for a supernatural turnaround and is asking that we all join our faith with hers for Pam's deliverance.
5. Tony Mitchell, who is a single mother of two, has been out of work for the past six months. Just a few days ago, however, she received a call back from a "dream job." She is soliciting prayer that God would give her favor so that she'll be able to comfortably take care of her family.
Thank you so much for praying with me. If ever you need prayer, please don't hesitate to share your request. See how here.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
