Lately, I've been getting praise reports and testimonies of God's delivering power from women who have been on our Thoughtful Thursdays list. Though I'm always extremely excited to hear the good news, I am in no way surprised, because I believe in the power of prayer! In fact, I would be dismayed if I didn't see the hand of God moving through the prayer.
I know beyond all doubt that, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16b). When we walk upright before God and join our faith together, things begin to happen. The best part of Thoughtful Thursdays for me, is knowing that there are believers from everywhere coming together for a common purpose, which is, to lift someone else other than themselves up in prayer.
To all of you who partner with me in prayer, I want you to know God is honoring these requests and I thank you for joining me for "prayer meetings" every Thursday. Because of your commitment, lives are being touched and people are being set free, really and truly.
Today, I want you to pray with me again for those on this week's list.
1. We're asking God to touch Katrina Clark and family. She just lost her 12 year old daughter, J'Kayla to a fierce battle with cancer. I've known Katrina and J'Kayla for a long time and I visited with them this past Saturday before J'Kayla's passing. I watched Katrina's strength and observed how she worshiped God throughout this entire ordeal. Right now, we're praying that the Lord would continue to give her supernatural peace and strength during this hour. We count it done by faith.
2. A woman named Vanessa Webster is standing proxy for her sister, who is at a very low point in her life. Several years ago, her sister went through a painful divorce and later found love again, only to have her heart broken the second time. Vanessa sees her sister slipping into depression and is concerned. While some of the details of her sister's struggle must remain confidential due to the very sensitive nature of the issues, I ask that you earnestly pray for Vanessa's older sister to find a deeper relationship with Christ, whereby she will learn to trust God, and totally surrender to His will and way.
3. A woman named Andrea Griggs, creator of a blossoming online radio show called "Females with a Mission," has been struggling with feelings of inadequacy lately. Although God is greatly blessing her ministry of encouragement to women, she often finds herself discouraged and struggling in the area of confidence. Today, we're claiming victory over that struggle and believing God for a transformation in Andrea's thinking, so that she won't allow anything to hinder her from moving forward with her divinely inspired dreams. We also are asking God to let this be a year of supernatural growth and expansion for Andrea. We're believing for favor and new doors of opportunity to be opened, in Jesus' name.
4. We're seeking God on behalf of a 33 year old woman named Angie Griffin, who has been struggling after she and her husband went into business together and failed. As a result, they lost their home, forcing them to move in with her sister. Recently, Angie and her spouse, along with their 3 children have gotten back into a house, but are barely getting by. Angie says they're scraping just to make ends meet. Join me in praying for provision and restoration. May God who is rich in mercy open the windows of heaven and give Angie and her husband a financial breakthrough.
5. Finally, we're praying for a woman named Cherisse Parks. Recently, the doctors discovered spots on her cervix and they believe they might be cancerous. She had a biopsy done and is scheduled to get her results back tomorrow. Let us pray for a good report!
Thank you so much for praying with me again. If you desire prayer, don't hesitate to share your request. Learn how to do so here.
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
