Ever been going through one of those seemingly never-ending rough patches in your life when your situation appears to be a dry, desolate, and abandoned desert? Have you ever felt like you had fallen so far and suffered a setback so major, that you would never recover from the blow?
I have... my Lord have I ever!
I know what it's like to go through an extended wilderness period. No rain in sight. No real signs of life and growth. Nothing blooming or flourishing. Just drought, famine, and desolation. I know how difficult that can be-- particularly when your struggle is so great that there's no possible way to fix your situation without divine intervention.
Oh but God can turn that thing around. If He has to bring water out of a rock like He did on behalf of the Israelites when they were going through the wilderness (See Exodus 17), He will bring you out.
It doesn't matter how far you've fallen, how bad the circumstances may seem, and how doubtful you may be about the potential for improvement in your life. God already has the solution to your problems and the way out is mapped out. It matters not where you are today; you will recover.
Perhaps your personal trouble is so intense that you don't know how you will ever possibly bounce back. You may wonder, "How in the world will I ever have stability again? When will things come together for me?"
You might not know how or when, but deliverance is coming. Whatever God has for you, you will receive. No matter what the enemy stole from you, he won't have the last laugh. The victory is yours. You will recover from this obstacle. You will spring forth from the wreckage of the storm and emerge as a living testimony of God's goodness, favor, and provision.
Right now, I want you to tell yourself, "It's not too late. It's not too far gone. It's not too bad... I will recover." Yes you will, because the Lord is on your side; working on your behalf; replenishing what you lost; restoring what was destroyed; bridging the gap; and bringing relief.
He's doing a new thing in you. He won't leave you broken, frustrated, and stagnant.
"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV).
