I consider myself to be a pretty hard-worker. I do my best to see projects through to completion and I also like to challenge myself to do new things. But there are times when no amount of focus, diligence, or determination can resolve an issue that comes up. In these moments, my philosophy is, "Do what you can and don't worry about what you can't."
Everything that comes against us doesn't necessarily lend itself to the "quick fix" model. Some situations, my friend, can only be resolved by the Omniscient One. ONLY He can handle it. That's why it's better just to take our hands off of some stuff and turn it over to Jesus. Now, although we know this in theory, it can be difficult to put it into practice, amen? We will go into "fix it mode" in a minute.
I find that, for me, one of the most unsettling things is to come up against a situation I can't and don't know how to resolve on my own. I don't like feeling helpless. But I've also found that, during my most difficult seasons of struggle, God was teaching me to lean on Him and allow Him to meet me at my point of need.
As I faced some of the most hard-fought battles of my life, the Lord was showing me that His strength is made perfect in my weakness. (See 2 Corinthians 12:9)
I just believe that the sooner we accept that His ways aren't like ours, the more we'll be able to rest in Him through times of uncertainty and difficulty. So be encouraged today. Don't allow yourself to get all preoccupied and worked up over what you can't change. Do what God has given you the ability to do and then leave the rest up to Him.
He never fails.
Never.
I don't know about you but, I'm so grateful His assistance always comes just when I need it most!
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
