Are you stuck focusing on what circumstances look like instead of what God said? Don't let that happen to you. When you depend on tangible evidence instead of divine revelation, sometimes, you'll be led astray. That doesn't mean that we should forgo sound advice, or make a habit of throwing caution to the wind, while outright rejecting conventional wisdom and practicality. No, not at all.
But, by the same token, we should never be slaves to the practical, to the extent that we cannot believe God for the impossible. What we see has a way of deceiving us and changing our outlook for the worst-- especially when God reveals something contrary to what is represented in our physical circumstances.
Certainly I'm not denying that it can be tough to get your arms around some of the things God says--particularly when you have no conceivable notion of how any of it is even possible. Yet, you must remind yourself that, if God said it, whether there's tangible evidence to support it or not, it's absolutely coming to pass!
I'm reminded of one of my favorite scriptures found in Isaiah 55:10-11. It says, "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
Oh bless God. Aren't you encouraged to know that if God said it, there's absolutely nothing and no one that can stop it from coming to pass? I sure am.
Look, I don't care what you thought the outcome would be... if God has another plan, His will, without a doubt, is going to be done. All you have to do is wait and see. Don't get in the way. Don't try to manipulate the circumstances. Simply be still and know that He is God. (Psalm 46:10)
Trust God's sovereignty despite what the obstacles may be. Don't get stuck in a perpetual state of doubt, pessimism, and skepticism. No. Believe God and surely you'll see His hand move in your life!
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
