Do you realize that everything you do and say is a positive or negative reflection on who you are? Only you can control the way you represent yourself. Not only that, as a child of God, you're an ambassador for His Kingdom. As such, the world forms perceptions about what it means to live for Christ, by watching how you conduct yourself.
In a world where the pervasive mentality does not reflect the principles of the Kingdom, it's easy to adopt a secular mentality. There are so many things vying for our time and attention. And if we don't deliberately and consistently evaluate our walk with the Lord, we will have drifted away before we recognize it. It's much easier than we realize.
Ask yourself, "How well do I represent myself and my God?" I wonder; are you pleased with the message you're putting forth? Is the Lord pleased? If you can't say yes to both of those questions, then it's time to get back on track.
As this year quickly draws to a close, I want you to do some serious soul searching. There's an old song I like that says, "Search me Lord. Shine the light from heaven on my soul. And if there's anything that shouldn't be, take it out and straighten me. 'Cause I wanna be right. I wanna be saved. And I wanna be whole."
Our primary desire must be to please the Lord and represent Him well. As you continue on your path, always remember that you have been placed on this earth to bring glory to the Father.
Ask Him to help you be mindful of your life's mission and to always walk in accordance with His will.
Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
