God is shifting the order of some things in your life. For a while, you're going to feel out of balance, out of your element, and maybe even a little out of your mind. Things a little out of whack in your life? Not a whole lot making sense? Going through a wilderness? Feeling like you're in a veritable wasteland ravished by famine? Don't worry! Things are going to come full circle soon. This is not time to be moping; it's the season to be rejoicing for what's on the horizon. Have you ever heard the expression, "You can't see what's right under your nose"? Essentially, it's the idea that we are sometimes oblivious to the things that should be most obvious to us. This notion certainly applies to our walk with God. There are times when we pray and ask Him to do something for us. When He answers our prayers there are moments when we don't recognize what He's doing. There are even instances when we misconstrue God's favor and view it through tainted eyes. He's Preparing You

Although He derives no pleasure from seeing you suffer, He still allows you to go through difficult tests and storms. Why? He's toughening you up. He's teaching you powerful lessons that will sustain you in the future. You see, what you're enduring today will give you more endurance for tomorrow. Not only that, as a child of God, you're an ambassador for His Kingdom. As such, the world forms perceptions about what it means to live for Christ, by watching how you conduct yourself. In a world where the pervasive mentality does not reflect the principles of the Kingdom, it's easy to adopt a secular mentality. There are so many things vying for our time and attention. And if we don't deliberately and consistently evaluate our walk with the Lord, we will have drifted away before we recognize it. It's much easier than we realize. Extra Crispy Ham

This morning at about 2:30AM I decided I had enough. I was going to bed. I had cleaned and cooked my greens, baked my mac-n-cheese, cooked up my candied yams, slaved over my banana pudding... I was on a roll. Everything was done except my ham. So, I stuck the ham in the oven, turned the oven timer on, set my alarm, and went to bed. It was all good... so I thought. My husband agreed to be the one to wake up and take the ham out of the oven. "Perfect," I thought. So, I went to sleep. Where Is Your Passion?

I was praying today and the Lord shared something with me that I, in turn, want to share with you. He began dealing with me about the importance of never letting my passion for Him subside. As I go through life-- no matter what I encounter, I have to remember to keep my love for Him pure. It's easy to get side-tracked and distracted by life. There are so many things that compete for our attention: Business, career, educational pursuits, and various other pressures of life. Let's pick up where we left off yesterday... I talked to you about trusting God to show you all you need to know to fulfill your destiny. Now, I want to take it a step further. Once He begins teaching you and uncovering your capabilities, you can't be afraid to embrace your purpose. You see, it can be very intimidating to step out in faith, even when you know the Lord is with you. Questions will go through your mind like, "What if I fail? God was only allowing you to go through some things in order to refine your character. He never left you for a moment.
