"It's all good" is a statement that's somewhat dated... I know, I know. But I'm working on a principle. Just hear me out. Have you ever been going through those moments in your life when it seems like "the best of times as well as the worst of times?" You know how it is.
On one hand, everything seems to be working out. But on the other hand, the thing or things you really, really want to come together seem to be all out of whack. These times can be really frustrating if you don't understand what God is doing.
I want to tell you that, even though your situation may appear to be going haywire in specific areas, it's all working out for your good. Thus, my statement, "It's ALL good."
Even the things that hurt the most are working for your good. God is developing your character. He's building your faith and dependence upon Him. So don't worry. It's not His intention to let you be defeated. You will not go down with the ship. Just because it looks bad, doesn't mean it IS bad.
Do you realize that oftentimes the things that hurt the worst do us the most good? Think about it. When you exercise, it is during the moments when the burn is most intense that your body gets the best workout. When you break a sweat and feel like you can't make it "anutha futha" (as country folks say), that's when the muscle begins to break down, only to be built back up even stronger than it was before.
Listen to me. I know you may feel like I can't possibly understand what you're going through. I have no way of knowing how intense your struggle is. Maybe I don't have complete insight into your personal hardships and private pain; but one thing I do know is, I've been through my share of storms and rain and God has never failed me yet.
The very things I thought would kill me, only strengthened me. The wounds I thought would never heal, only made me tougher. The betrayals, the losses, the failures... all worked to bring me to the place where I am today.
What would I have to share with you if I had never endured anything? So, what's my point? The things you're going through right now are working together for your good. God is preparing you for your ministry.
This test is going to turn into a testimony! Don't think for a moment that you're stuck in a rut that you're never going to get out of. No ma'am, not at all. God is just positioning you for the biggest breakthrough of your life. Just when you and others think you're going "down for the count" you're getting back up bigger, better, and bolder than ever!
Remember this; "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 NKJV). Talk to yourself and tell yourself right now, "Everything that looks bad is already all right. It's ALL good... and it's ALL good for me."
You see, some things can only be learned through heartache and hardship. "It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes" (Psalm 119:71 NKJV).
When you come through this, you won't be the same. You will be a changed person. You will be armed and equipped to fight the good fight of faith with confidence, vigilance, and determination. Be encouraged today. It only gets better from here.
Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
