I want to take a moment today to thank you for reading. It means so much to me to know that your life is being impacted. After all, it’s the only reason I write. It’s for you. I also sincerely appreciate your support of eewmagazine.com. It’s a source of great inspiration and help to Christian women around the world. Now let’s jump right into today’s discussion . . .
I talked to you yesterday about your need to release your fear of the unknown. I want to continue in that vein today. You see, I want to help you kick in the doors that have been barricaded. I want you to break through the proverbial glass ceiling in your life. I want you to disprove stereotypes and push past limitations. Are you ready for that?
I believe that you are at a crossroads. This is a crucial time in your life . . . decision time. Something so important lies ahead and you have to be in position to take advantage of what God wants to do. However, in order to receive the absolute best He has to offer, you have to get in position by making a decision.
What decision is that? Well, you have the option of choosing the road most traveled, or the road less traveled. You can go with what’s “tried and true,” or what’s “unfamiliar and new.” If you choose the latter, the unfamiliar route, you’re going to be tested in new ways. Sometimes you may not feel like you have the strength to move ahead. But you do. It’s all a part of venturing out into the world of the unknown . . . the road less traveled.
It can be scary. It can seem dark. Sometimes, it even feels crazy. Still, keep going. Because at the end of the day, the only crazy thing would be, not pursuing your God-given destiny. And you can’t afford to give up on that.
Let’s face it. Making decisions isn’t easy. They’re never quite as simple as we hope. But you know what’s harder? I’ll tell you. It’s much more difficult to spend the rest of your life unfulfilled regretting the fact that you never explored life’s numerous possibilities. And for what? For the preservation of the status quo.
Too many people elect to stay in the same place. The allure of familiarity is greater than their hunger for greatness. I don’t want that to be you. Instead, I want you to witness with your own eyes all the good things God has in store for you. I want you to know from experience that dreams really do come true. God really is faithful to perform His word.
But He can’t do it without your cooperation and participation. You have to avail yourself, and submit to His leading. You have to be willing to endure the pain that comes from stretching, growing, maturing, and blossoming into all that He has designed you to be before the foundation of the world. The process is painful, but the outcome is beautiful.
God wants to exceed your wildest expectations, but you’ve got to get busy moving along the road less traveled. Pack your bags. Condition your mind and get going. As you go, keep this scripture in your heart, “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).
My prayer is that you will be strong enough to deal with the discomfort of transition. It’s essential to laying hold of the life you’re destined to live. I’ll leave with you an excerpt from one of my favorite poems, “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost:
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Until next time . . . may you be empowered to prosper.
