Today, if you will join me
in releasing everything attached to you that isn’t adding anything to you, God
will bless you beyond measure. It’s time to cast off people and habits that only
bring you down and walk into your new day of destiny.
Don’t you want the best
God has to offer? Don’t you know that there’s more to life than what you’ve
experienced up to this point? Don’t you realize that you will never possess the
“great” if you always settle for the “good enough?”
So often, we sabotage our
own futures, because we won’t make the sacrifices necessary to see the
manifestation of the promises of God. We can’t take our minds off of our immediate
needs. We get so caught up in instant gratification that, we never get to
experience the long-term benefits of God’s promises which can only be attained
through prayer and patience.
Oh, if I could just get
you see how much God wants to bless you . . . if I could just give you a
glimpse into the future that awaits you if you simply learn how to wait on the
Lord—I would. But I can’t do that for you. You have to be willing to trust God
enough to see that He always begins with the end in mind. What do I mean by
that?
Well, God doesn’t work
like us. We tend to get frenzied and worried by our circumstances. We panic if
we can’t see our way clearly. But God, Who is infinite in wisdom, and awesome
in power, would never lead us down a path toward destruction. “And we know that
all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the
called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also
predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son . . .” (Romans
8:28-29a NKJV).
He is already working
things out in your favor. But you’ve got give up your will, submit to His, and
wait on Him. Let Him lead you. Don’t jump ship. Don’t get caught up in the
implementation of your own plans and strategies. He has it all under control.
Trust in the Lord and wait patiently on Him. He’ll strengthen your heart as you
wait.
Are you familiar with the
expression that says, “While you’re trying to figure it out, He’s already
worked it out?” That’s what He wants you to know today. Don’t try to figure Him
out. You don’t know what He’s doing. But one thing is true, the plan He has in
mind far exceeds your wildest expectations.
But
before you can witness His glory and His goodness, you’ve got to give up your
vices. Give up your stubborn ways. Give up those unhealthy habits. Give up
those toxic relationships. Give up your defensive stance. Let down your guard
and let God take over from here. When you do it, although it may be tough,
you’re setting yourself up for a major blessing.
Until next time . . . may you
be empowered to prosper!
