Have you ever been confronted with a situation that seemed absolutely impossible? I’m not talking about something that you could work out on your own with a little ingenuity. On the contrary, I want to know if there’s ever been a storm in your life that would have taken you under, unless God stepped in and worked a miracle. Do you have one of those “If it had not been for the Lord ” testimonies? I know I’ve endured plenty of adverse circumstances and hard trials. Just Trust Him . . .

. . . That’s what God wants you to do. He wants you to trust Him. If you never learn to place your full assurance and confidence in God, you’ll be on an endless emotional roller coaster. You see, naturally, we’re emotional beings. Our attitudes, moods, and behaviors tend to fluctuate right along with life’s circumstances. We have to become more disciplined, so we’re not always vacillating—going back and forth between trusting and doubting . . . trusting and doubting . . . trusting and doubting. Before you can teach others to respect you, you first have to respect yourself. This is the key to living the abundant life God desires for you. But when you’ve been through a lot of difficult circumstances, especially when others have devalued you, it’s tough to change your self-image. But it’s not impossible.
