Dianna (Pronounced Dee-Anna) Hobbs, a native of Buffalo, NY, is the Founder and Editor In Chief of EEW Magazine. She is also a recording artist, an inspirational blogger; a passionate woman of faith driven by her convictions; a devoted wife to her husband; an educator and nurturer to her children; a loyal follower of Christ; an undeniable force in media and publishing and most certainly, the embodiment of the change she envisions for African American Christian women.
Though it's hard to sum up all of what she is and does, there's no denying that Dianna has struck a major chord in the web publishing industry, reaching a consistently growing base of more than 1/4 million women through EEW and thousands more through her popular inspirational blog, Your Daily Cup of Inspiration (www.diannahobbs.com).
Growing up in a family of 14 children as a pentecostal preacher's kid, Dianna learned early the meaning of hard work. "Dad pastored a small ministry, so I had several shoes to fill," says Dianna.
"I was the president of the choir, the Sunday School Department and the Youth Department too," all while earning her Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. This professional writer and editor nurtured EEW before it took shape as a burgeoning online magazine, back when she was circulating a 2-page newsletter in 2004 to a handful of subscribers made up of a few faithful family members and friends.
"I remember how excited I was when our newsletter subscriber list reached double digits," says the rising leader who is still amazed that EEW has emerged as the #1 online magazine for Christian women of color.
Today, Dianna has a solid vision and plan for expansion over the next 5 years, with one core focus: "I'm all about equipping ordinary people to do extraordinary things for the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom."
