Sometimes, as we go through struggles and tragedies, as well as the ups and downs of life, it's easy to forget that the God we serve is an awesome wonder. He's a miracle worker and He's more than able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." (Ephesians 3:20) As we go into our Thoughtful Thursdays prayer list, I want to share with you a powerful video that was brought to my attention. It will act as a reminder of the fact that God still does the impossible, if we only believe.
May this video fuel your faith the way it has mine, as you join me in praying for the individuals on today's list. Please be sure to read the prayer requests following the video and intercede on behalf of those in need:
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. We're praying for a young woman who wishes to remain anonymous. She loves God, is active in ministry, but is feeling like she's lost her fervor and passion for the things of God somewhere along the way. Although she knows the enemy is attempting to distract her and weaken her resolve, she still doesn't have the desire to pray, fast, study the word of God, or seek His face like she once did. Today, we're praying for a renewal of her hunger and thirst after God, and an unquenchable desire to pursue Him at any cost.
2. We're joining our faith with a woman who recently left home and relocated to Indiana with her daughter, after someone assured her that they would be willing to assist them financially. Well, this individual reneged on their word, which has left the two of them homeless for the past two months. This mother is asking God to provide a means for her to earn income, as well as favor in her quest for safe, decent and affordable housing for her and her daughter. We know God is able, amen?
3. Kennisha Hill submitted a prayer request on behalf of her Sister-In-Law, Courtney, who recently suffered a devastating miscarriage while in her second trimester of pregnancy. We're praying that God would comfort Courtney and heal the pain of that loss. Also, Kennisha's Aunt Bonnie has been diagnosed with colon cancer, but the entire family is believing God for a total and complete healing. Let us all connect our faith with theirs and expect the miraculous. Finally, let's hold Kennisha up in prayer. She's been feeling overwhelmed lately, but we're believing God for supernatural strength, joy, and peace that passes all understanding.
4. We're praying for a young woman named Denise who is caught up in sexual sin. It all began with a past abusive relationship, where she was forced to perform sexual acts against her will or be beaten brutally. Since the relationship has ended and her abusive boyfriend is imprisoned, she now struggles to remain pure. Denise has been failing in her efforts to resist premarital sex, but deep down, she wants to be free. Today, we're praying that God would loose that stronghold off of her life and break the chains that keep her shackled.
5. Our prayers are going out to a woman named Yolanda who has been married and divorced three times. She realizes that her abusive past has attributed to the cycle of making and breaking ties. Yolanda desperately wants God to fill that void that she's been trying to fill through relationships with men, much like the woman at the well in St. John 4. Right now, we're praying that God will destroy those yolks in Yolanda's life and give her the desire to draw close to Him as never before.
Thank you so much for praying for someone else today! If you have a prayer request, please don't hesitate to send it directly to me (I read and pray over them all) at dailycup@eewmagazine.com.
