Hey, thanks for logging on today! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I so love this time of year when I can spend time with the folks I love and eat all my FAVORITE foods, especially candied yams, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, ham, banana pudding... OK, I have A LOT of favorites, but it's just nice to be able to celebrate the gift of life and all the wonderful things God has done!
Don't you agree?
Although we're thankful everyday, we take special time out today to meditate on the goodness of God and celebrate that same goodness with an extraordinary feast. At this very moment, as the sweet aroma of delectable dishes fills the air in my home, something even sweeter fills my heart. That is, a true and abiding praise on the inside, for all the Lord has brought me through so far this year. What a mighty God we serve!
But, I don't ever want to get so comfortable and complacent with things, that I forget to take time out for others. So, you already know what we're going to do today, right? We're about to put the fork down, stop chuckling with friends and family for a moment, and intercede for someone else. This is our Thoughtful (Thankful) Thursday where we thank God for His many benefits, while we think of others, and lift them up in prayer.
First on our list:
(1) Today, we have a few things we need to petition God for on behalf of Kennisha Hill. Her cousin Demetrius Pooler's newborn son is having heart surgery. A newborn baby is so fragile and precious, so let's join Kennisha in praying that God will work a miracle and that baby Demetrius will be fine after surgery. Also, we're sending up prayer for the strength of the baby's parents, that God would give them peace and rest in their minds during this difficult time. Also, Kennisha's body has been under attack lately and she's been battling high blood pressure. We know that God is able to regulate it, amen? Lastly, pray for the healing of her dad, who was recently diagnosed with glaucoma.
(2) Dorothy McNeal sent in a request regarding a heartbreaking situation surrounding one of her fellow church members. Sadly, there are two young girls missing in St. Louis, Missouri. One of the young girls' names is Imani McNeal, who is the daughter of Michelle McNeal. Apparently, the two girls were together when they disappeared and neither one has been found as of yet. We are believing God for a safe and speedy return!
(3) We're also praying for a woman named Dianne Logan. She and her husband are going through a tough transitional period in their lives. They're homeless, she's unemployed and severely depressed about the way things are going in her life. But we know God is able to turn things around. There's also a spiritual struggle Dianne and her husband are going through at the hands of some individuals they're currently connected to. But we know the Lord is able to place a hedge around them both. Let's join our faith with theirs for deliverance and breakthrough in Jesus' name.
(4) There's a woman who wishes to remain anonymous who sincerely needs our prayers. On September 9, 2009 her world was rocked when she was accused of committing a crime that could have potentially ruined her entire career. But, by the grace of God, on July 8, 2009 the case was closed for lack of evidence. But still, the scandalous story was all over the newspaper in her hometown, which caused all kinds of psychological turmoil, forcing her into relocation... away from her family, friends, and all those she knows and loves. Worse yet, the pain and mental trauma from that situation took its toll on her and the enemy is endeavoring to use that incident to consume her. But we know that Satan can't have the victory. We believe God that this woman is going to take her life back! She's already begun taking steps in the right direction too. For the past year, she's been applying for jobs in Atlanta, Georgia where her family is, but nothing, as of yet, has come about. Let's band together in faith and believe God for emotional restitution, healing and stability; and that she would find gainful employment that goes above and beyond her expectations!
(5) We're praying for a woman named Bhatupe for two things: First, she's been believing God to send her a godly husband and she seems to have met one who meets all the right criteria. But, Bhatupe wants to be certain that God is leading her and that he isn't just Mr. Wrong posing as Mr. Right! So, let's pray for divine insight, good judgment and discernment for Bhatupe. Secondly, she has been trusting and believing God to improve her current job situation and it looks like just the right opportunity has opened up. She's done the interview and while she does want the job, her prayer is that God would help her accept whatever the outcome is.
Thank you so much for taking time out to think of others. I believe God is truly pleased. Enjoy your Thanksgiving today. Hold your family close and spread love!
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
