It's official. I'm waiting. Yep, that's the conclusion I came to yesterday after much prayer, planning, and agonizing over a decision I've been tossing back and forth in my mind over the past few months. You see, I started on a project late last year and I felt in my heart, at the time, that God was urging me to move on it right away. So, I did. I began working diligently on it.
I still believe He was leading me to do it, but recently, I began feeling in my heart that I needed to wait before finalizing the details. Now I understand that, even though this project was and is divinely inspired, my timetable for completion has to be modified.
It's not time just yet... and I'm OK with that.
I wonder. Have you ever had something you felt you were supposed to do immediately, only to have God say, "Not so fast...?" If so, you know how it feels when you have to hurry up and wait.
I believe that, sometimes, we get so anxious to see things completed that we end up forcing them into existence before the time is right. When we do that, we make things much harder than they have to be.
That's why we have to be open to hearing God's voice. Inevitably, there will be moments when we're ready to go forward, but we'll hear Him say, "Wait just a little while longer. Be patient." It's not that God doesn't want us to possess what He's implanted in our hearts; it simply means that He wants us to wait until He fully releases us to move in that direction.
I know how frustrating it can be when you want everything to come together all at once and yet, it doesn't. You just want to seize the day, but you have to wait for the right day and the truth of the matter is, today may not be that day.
And you also have to be OK with that, because as I often say, "Delay is not denial." It might not happen now, but it will in due season.
Your time will come...but it will happen in HIS time.
So then, how do you know when God wants you to do something right now as opposed to a little later? Well, whenever your "time" or season of manifestation comes, the pieces will fall in place and the provision you need will be there.
Never forget that.
If, after you've done all you can do, things don't pan out, just pause for a moment. Go back and seek the Lord a little more. You may just hear Him say, "Not yet." And if He does say that, don't get upset. Don't be discouraged. Don't throw in the towel. Don't give up on it. Instead, just continue working on the things you can do and wait for Him to do the rest. Keep working toward the goal and God will give you the grace and favor to finish it at the appointed time and in the appropriate season.
It's all gonna work out soon. Your time will come. Call to mind the scripture that says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9 NKJV).
As always, thanks for reading and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
