Let me just say, your response in recent days has demonstrated to me that, you too, believe in the power of prayer! So many requests have poured in. In fact, this past week, I've gotten the most I've received to date. To all of you who have submitted prayer requests, sharing your pain, personal issues, and problems, I want you to know I don't take it lightly. Before I post this week's prayer requests, I want to make an observation. Unless you expressly give me the "OK" to mention your name on my blog, prayer requests shall remain anonymous. Also, there are some of you who only desire to be covered in prayer confidentially, with no mention at all on the blog. Know that I am praying for you also.
To my fellow intercessors who take time to pray along each week, even if we don't have names, we'll take the issues before the Lord. He already knows what the situations are and who is affected by them.
Remember, if you need prayer, please don't hesitate to email me at dailycup@eewmagazine.com. Your prayer request comes directly to me and I sincerely carry your needs before the Lord, knowing that He is a God who hears and answers.
Let's begin:
(1) Please remember my family in prayer. My uncle's funeral is today. Ask God to give strength and comfort in this hour.
(2) We're praying for a 30 year old single mom with a young son, who escaped a physically abusive relationship once before, and has found herself caught up in a mentally abusive relationship at present. Pray that God will give her the strength, courage, and wisdom to get free, for her sake and the sake of her son.
(3) Please pray for Mona, a Cosmetologist, who has a job interview at a Salon. Pray that God will give her favor as she pursues this opportunity and also give her the peace and confidence she needs.
(4) We're going to God on behalf of a husband and wife, both battling life-threatening illnesses. Pray that God restore health and strength in that household and make provision for every need.
(5) We're praying for a woman named Annette as she seeks God for guidance and favor for her business. We're petitioning God to send distrubutors, create connections, and open up new and lucrative doors for her, that she might be more effective in Kingdom building.
(6) I'm praying for everyone reading this blog, that God would ignite a passion for prayer and intercession, so that we learn to uphold each other in prayer in times of need.
Join me in praying this prayer: "Father, I thank you for the opportunity to hold someone else up in prayer. Give me more of a compassionate and praying heart, that I may be more aware and compassionate when someone else is in need. In Jesus' name I pray now. Thank you God. Amen."
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
