Yesterday, I missed a day of blogging and that was a big deal for me. Those of you who have followed this blog for a significant length of time know how important blogging is to me and how passionate I am about sharing what God has placed on my heart each weekday.
But I couldn't do it yesterday. You see, Kaleb's little cold has turned into a plague that is running rampant throughout our entire household. Though Kenya and I are both perfectly fine, Kaleb and all three of his siblings are sick. Coughs, fevers, runny noses, and diminished appetites... it's a sad sight to behold. You know, it's pretty amazing to see how quickly a bottle of Children's Tylenol gets consumed when everybody needs it.
So, between being Nurse Dianna and fulfilling business obligations, as more and more of my day slipped away, I realized it would be impossible to prepare a fresh Daily Cup of Inspiration.
Thankfully, I was able to take it all in stride, because I remembered a valuable lesson I often share with you, which is, You can't do it all. None of us can. There will be days when you'll have to modify your plans, change course and be nimble enough to roll with whatever comes your way. Otherwise, you'll try to over-extend yourself and end up frazzled, stressed, and burnt out.
Even when it comes to things you love and are passionate about, ask God to help you pace yourself and be wise in your pursuits. Recognize that "life" happens to all of us and we have to be realistic in our approach to it.
We have to remember that our lives are in God's hands and even when the unexpected twists and turns throw us off course a bit, a new day always brings with it, a new opportunity to get back on track. And although you and I can't do it all on our own, we can do all things through Christ, according to His will and timetable.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
