Yesterday morning during service, the senior choir sang a song called "On Time God." The whole congregation got up, clapped, and sang along. Some folks even "got happy" as they repeated the words, "He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be there right on time..."
Do you know that song? Well, I daresay, it can be much easier to sing it than it is to live it. You see, when you have to wait on the Lord, it can be downright grueling at times. Deadlines pass, our patience grows thin, worry creeps in, and we end up getting more and more weary while we wait.
When we're living through our own "timing issue" we don't feel very much like singing "On Time God" then do we?
Particularly if you've ever had a plan that seemed "No Fail" but somehow things didn't go as smoothly as you would have liked them to... you can no doubt relate to what I'm saying in this post. Maybe you've experienced a few of those inconvenient times when you ran into unexpected delays and setbacks that you hadn't anticipated. Perhaps there have even been seasons in your life where you felt like you absolutely COULDN'T wait, at least not without something awful and traumatic happening as a result of it, and God STILL didn't show up "on schedule" ...YOUR schedule that is, though you prayed and cried.
Hmmm...I know I've been there. But you know what I discovered? Every time I needed Him to come to my rescue, He did it. Now, it may not have happened the way I would've liked it to happen; nevertheless, God has always taken care of me.
And He's going to do the very same thing for you. But you've got to open your heart and mind to receive what God wants to give you, how He wants to give it to you, and WHEN He wants to release it into your life.
Remember, we don't get to dictate the details of God's plan. Just know that He indeed has one, and it goes far beyond our limited understanding!
I know it's hard to remain patient and full of faith when everything looks like it's going crazy, but remain steadfast in your faith anyway. Refuse to be moved. Be determined and resolved to trust God. You have to fight through those doubts and fears and CHOOSE to believe that the Lord will make a way out of no way.
The timing issue is only an issue for us. Not for God. He's never out of control, nor is He out of solutions. He has the situation already resolved. The resolution may not have manifested yet, but that's all right. Trust Him anyhow.
Don't worry about it.
Things are going to be just fine. Just as God has made ways for you in the past, He's going to do it again. Matters not how difficult, dire, and desolate your situation. God is going to deliver you. Just wait and see.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
