Whenever you set out to do God's will, the enemy will be in hot pursuit of you. There's no way you can get away from it. Your chief adversary will always be in search of ways to distract you, limit your productivity, impede your progress, and shake your faith.
And although you cannot escape the spiritual battle that ensues as a result of your loyal commitment to your divine purpose, you don't have to be defeated just because the enemy is coming against you. You don't have to be overwhelmed because of the attack. Oh no. The word of God lets us know that the Greater One lives on the inside of us. (1 John 4:4) Because of that, no weapon formed against us will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17) The Bible never promised us that the weapon wouldn't be formed... only that it won't work against us.
So, you can be confident in the God of your salvation today. Know that He's on your side, favoring you, fighting for you, and preparing you to reach awesome new heights in Him.
As I stated earlier, no, you can't get away from the attack of the enemy; but by the same token, you don't have to be overwhelmed by the attack... not when you're walking upright before the Lord. You see, when you give up your will in exchange for the will of God, He will no doubt defend your cause and fight your battles for you. He'll make ways out of no way and bring you out with a mighty hand. Again, that is, IF you're walking in accordance with His purpose and plan.
Remind yourself that you belong to God. He's your refuge; your strong tower; your strength; your present help in trouble. He's all you need to remain victorious in your life. There's no need to be preoccupied, full of worry and fear. Nevertheless, when you stop trusting God, that's precisely what happens. You end up being intimidated by opposition in your life. Sadly, you cease to exercise the authority which has been given to you by the Holy Spirit.
Listen, within you lies the anointing of God. You have power to chase the enemy away. An old song comes to mind that some of the older saints would sing. It said, "I beat the devil running and I'm so glad..." But that's not what the word of God tells us to do. We don't have to run from the enemy. On the contrary, if we tap into the power of God in our own lives, we can send the enemy running.
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 NKJV).
Begin using your authority. It's all on the inside of you, just waiting to be tapped into.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
