Have you ever been in a situation where you see signs of progress, even though you're still "stuck" in the same desolate place? Have you ever sensed that God was up to something despite all the things that were going wrong? Has God ever met one crucial need, while other bad situations remained largely unchanged? If you answered yes, then you know what it is to discover a road in the wilderness.
Essentially, the road represents the path God has you on that ultimately leads to your total deliverance and breakthrough... but while you're walking, there are things in your life that still need to be worked on. Even though He may have given you a partial glimpse into your future, you don't have a full picture of what He's doing in your life.
The road has manifested, but a physical road map was not given to you. So you're out here walking by faith and not by sight. You're thankful for the road in the wilderness, but deep down, you really wish you knew precisely where you were headed. Ever been there? There right now?
If so, what you need to remember is this: The road in the wilderness gives you some insight, but the full revelation of the course you're on only comes when God is ready to reveal it to you. In the meantime, you've got to keep walking. I shared with you yesterday, "The just shall live by faith." I can't stress enough that you've got to start walking along that road of faith before you'll see the full manifestation of God's promise and provision concerning you.
Just start walking. Believe while you walk. Confess God's word while you walk. Encourage yourself in the Lord as you walk. And always expect a mighty deliverance at the end of that stretch of road.
I told you before, God promises to order our steps, but nowhere in His word does He guarantee that we'll know where those steps will take us. Sure, you might feel frustrated from time-to-time because you'll feel as if you're walking blindly, surrounded by uncertainty on every side. Nevertheless, God will walk you through the wilderness and into your destiny--that is, if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Start trotting along that road. Thank God for what He HAS revealed to you, rather than moping about the things you don't yet know. Stop asking "why" and begin saying "yes". I know you might not have a clue as to where the road is leading, but that's all right. Just remain temperate in all things, steadfast, thankful, full of faith and optimism.
As I always tell you, the fact that you can't clearly see God's plan, doesn't negate the fact that He indeed has one. I'll leave with you the scripture I gave to you yesterday and I want you to get it all in your spirit. Meditate on it and let the Word comfort you as you go through.
"Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:19 NAS).
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
