We often say, "God use me," but when He opens doors and brings opportunities to us, why do we shy away? Many of us want to be used by God "in theory" but when it comes time to put things into practice, we grow fearful. We wonder, "What if I can't do it? What if I mess up? Is this really God? Am I getting my hopes up for nothing?" And the list of doubt-filled questions goes on and on.
But today, God wants you to change your mentality. Recognize that He has placed in you everything you need to succeed and thrive. Here's a word of advice: You do your best, and God will do the rest. You see, it makes no sense to get all preoccupied about how things will turn out, and start stressing over the uncertainties of life. Don't work yourself up like that. Rather, get out there and put your best foot forward. Just do your part. That's all. God will take care of everything else.
He will do the rest.
I know how difficult it can be to trust when your way looks dark, but trust anyway. Remind yourself that, if God called you, He'll equip you. If He's allowing you to go through a situation, that means you have the wherewithal to get through it intact.
Does that mean you'll always feel confident and self-assured? Nooo... it absolutely doesn't mean that. You'll undoubtedly feel inadequate sometimes, but that's all right. You've got to place your confidence in the Lord, knowing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
While you're reading this, I want you to become resolved to lay your cares at Jesus' feet. Stop worrying about your future. Stop getting all stirred up about what things look like. You know why? Because, all you can do... is all you can do. In other words, you can only do your best. Nothing more. So quit worrying about what you can't do. The Bible says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day isits own trouble" (Matthew 6:34 NKJV).
Once again, just do your best and God will do the rest. Live in the moment. Focus on today. Take things one day at a time. Don't let the cares of life get the best of you. Everything will work out fine simply because the Lord is on your side.
He's not asking you to have all of the answers. He's not even asking you to make choices on your own. He'll direct you if you consult Him. He is, on the other hand, asking that you utilize the gifts, talents, and resources He's bestowed upon you to fulfill your unique purpose in the earth.
So, while you're doing what you must do to complete your divine assignment in the earth, never forget to rest in Him... rely on His strength... His power... and His ability to sustain you even in the toughest times.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
