Have you ever believed that God revealed something to you, but there was no evidence whatsoever of the validity of what you were believing for? Have you ever felt like you might be "missing a few screws" because you couldn't let go of what you believed in your heart, even though you didn't see it with your natural eyes?
If you can relate, I want to tell you something; if you're looking for things to always make perfectly logical sense and if you're waiting to get some "hard core" evidence to back up your belief each time God gives you a revelation, that's simply unrealistic. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. If, on the other hand, you're ready and willing to hold on to your faith during those seasons when it appears that all hope is lost, you'll get your breakthrough in God's perfect timing.
Now, I can't promise you that the road will be easy. You may be very tempted to give up from time to time.
But don't do it. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep confessing that "it's already done." But be sure never to get too caught up in what things look like. After all, looks can be quite deceiving.
So, if, by chance you've been exhausting yourself and groping for "proof" that God did indeed speak to your heart about that thing you're believing for with all your might... stop.
You must understand that the word of God never promises that we will always receive proof, although we do see signs at times. There will inevitably be moments when we all have to keep pushing through deep valleys even when we're unsure of our next steps. And it's only those who persevere without the proof that will ultimately inherit the prize.
So, let me ask you, are you willing to persevere without the proof? Or are you going to give up simply because what you're waiting for, seems more and more unlikely to happen with each passing day? My prayer is that you will choose to believe with all your heart even though your circumstances don't currently line up with what the Lord has spoken to your spirit.
If you know God said it, then hold on to it. Let this scripture encourage you:: "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8 NKJV).
If you "don't know where you're going" don't worry. God will provide all the direction and instruction you need. But it's up to you to trust Him enough to get started on your journey.
As always, thanks for reading, and until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
