Have you reached the point where God has begun dealing with you about YOU? Has he started working on your character, and begun challenging you to change? If you're actively moving toward the fulfillment of your life's purpose-- without question-- the answer is a resounding yes!
Interestingly, there are things about each of us that are unknown to us. What do I mean by that? Well, there are buried issues that only God can uncover and reveal. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I test the mind..." (Jeremiah 17:9, 10a).
Although your tests don't feel good, they are designed to make you aware of the places in your life that need work. Remember, trials aren't intended to last indefinitely. They will invariably come to an end once you have effectively derived the lesson from each test. You get to move on to the next level.
If you don't learn your lesson, however, you'll end up just as the Children of Israel did; unfortunately, you'll spend unnecessary time circling the same mountain in your wilderness. Something that should've taken weeks to get out of, will end up taking years. I don't know how you feel but, I don't want to spend any extra time roaming around in the valley of despair or the wilderness of trouble.
Remember: Unless you learn the lesson in your storm, you're destined to go through it again in some way, shape, or form. Part of growing and being more productive is doing whatever is necessary to continually change.
Sir Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom said, "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often." While none of us qualify as perfect, we can all experience enhanced productivity and excellence in our lives, if we're willing to go through the evolution process. It's the only way to maximize your growth and potential. Isn't that you want?
I do.
So, when you're going through difficult seasons, instead of complaining, ask yourself: "What am I supposed to be learning from this? How can I move past this point and reach bigger and better things???"
God doesn't want to hurt you. And although He allows tests and trials to come our way, doesn't mean He orchestrated them. But the good news is, whether He orchestrated the tests or not, if we allow the trials to do their work, we'll be much better off!
Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
