Don't be Afraid of Heights

Freefall I must admit, I'm not crazy about heights. I sometimes get a bit woozy and short of breath, but you know what? I don't avoid heights, because I refuse to allow any phobia to stop me from living life to the fullest. Though I feel afraid at times, I don't give into my fears. Instead, I push ahead anyway.

And that's what the Lord wants from you. He desires to see you fruitful, but you have to push past psychological barriers , cast your fears aside, and prepare  to fly!

Granted, I don't think anyone enjoys being outside of their element. But don't let your fear rob you of your bright future.

Now, you may not have a literal fear of "heights," but we all have some stronghold we have to overcome in order to lay hold of our inheritance.

What's yours? Think about that for a moment. And whatever you come up with, I want you to take authority over it today and refuse to let it control your life.

There's a Ray Bradbury quote I love that says something to the effect of...  "Taking a risk is jumping off a cliff and building your wings on the way down."

Sounds somewhat scary, right? Obviously, I don't condone going on a literal suicide mission like jumping off a cliff, but there is something in that quote worth exploring more deeply.

God wants to take you higher in your life. He desires for you to soar with eagles. But you have to be willing to take the leap. You must refuse to live a life of fear. It's time to  tap into your own strength and ability.

Do you recognize that you have an incredible capacity to change your life? It's true. God has already given you the wherewithal to branch out into new territory. This is the day to be bold.

God is challenging you through this post to take life head on and trust Him to carry you through. Are you willing to accept the challenge? I know it may be a little disconcerting at first. Certainly, the notion of abandoning your place of comfort and stability, in order to find a new place of destiny and abundance, can be quite unsettling.

Remember, fulfilling your purpose requires a great degree of courage, tenaciousness, and commitment.  You have to know in your heart that the things God has stored up for you are worth the pursuit.

Let me ask you: Are you living life on the sidelines, or are you chasing your God-given dreams and desires. Are you preparing yourself to  for  a whole new level of blessing and outpouring? If not, today is the day to overcome fear and grab hold to faith.

Look your fear in the face and tell it, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
