This important life lesson carries over into business, ministry, career, and every critical area in your life. You have to be careful, because everyone's motives are not pure. Sometimes, it's easy to be naive and fall into traps--especially when you're a genuine person of integrity. Why? It's because you have a natural tendency to believe the best about everyone.
If you're coming from a place of honesty, concern, and purity, you expect that other individuals are doing the same thing. Undoubtedly, it's human nature to see a reflection of ourselves in others, but nothing can be more deceiving. Human nature can lead you down the wrong path if you're not wise.
As I said earlier... be careful. Seek God for wisdom and insight. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally... and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 NKJV).
I want you to think about the last time you were hurt and blindsided by someone you trusted. Come on. Get it in your mind. Now, I don't want you to conjure up negative feelings from your past; that's not what this is about. Instead, I want you to be reminded of what can happen when you're not led by God. As you navigate your way through this world, you have to allow your past to teach you, but never let it hinder you from moving ahead.
I'm sure you know that, there are few things worse than leaning on your own understanding and being deceived and betrayed in the end. I want you to take heed to what you're reading today. This message is to assist you along the road to blessings and prosperity. Know that there will be all kinds of people that inhabit your place of promise. But if you adhere to God's instructions and heed His warnings, you never have to worry about being caught off guard.
Remember, God ALWAYS sends warnings. Now, whether or not you hear and heed... well... that's totally dependent upon you. Prayerfully, you will always choose God's instruction above all else. Never be guided by emotions; they'll pull you off your set course.
My prayer is that, as you move closer toward your destiny, you be led by the Holy Spirit in all the matters and affairs of life.
Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
