Do you ever watch those cheesy makeover shows? I'm not above it. On the rare occasion when I do actuallyget to watch, I like to see "What not to Wear" with Stacy and Clinton. Now, I know these shows can be a bit corny. But c'mon, I'm not the only one who enjoys them from time to time. Admit it. There's something intriguing about seeing someone undergo a major transformation right before your eyes. I wait eagerly for what they call "The Big Reveal." That's when you get to see the person's new look once everything is pulled together.
Once the stylists and consultants have worked on the person's hair, make-up, and outfit, seeing the end result is somehow gratifying. Well, the process of waiting for God to reveal His will feels similar. He grooms us and preps us, and then... one day, we're ready to see how it all comes together. The great thing is that His big reveal always exceeds our expectations.
Are you ready for your big reveal? I hope so, because it's time. I know you've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting... but the wait has not been without purpose.
You see, there are certain seasons when we're not ready to handle particular revelations. Our frame of mind isn't right and our level of maturity isn't where it needs to be. So God withholds some information from us until we're equipped with all we need to handle it. Remember this: "The preparation precedes the revelation."
In other words, God takes you through a grooming process before He reveals His will. He makes you over. He molds your mentality and reshapes your perspective. This is done to properly position you to accept and receive what He wants to give you.
Perhaps, you have been in an intense season of struggle, warfare, lack, or pain. You have been unsure of what God is saying or doing. Your grooming process has been unpleasant and hard. You have lost some things and people you thought would always be with you... if you can relate to that, I have good news.
If you haven't already, you're about to see God's plans unfold right before your eyes. Get ready for your big reveal! Get ready to be in awe. Prepare to stand in amazement. This is your time of breakthrough!
