Preparation is the key to maximizing your moment. But, if you don't expect great things, there's no way to be ready when they manifest. Maximize the Moment by Bishop T.D. Jakes is one of my favorite books.
I've read it a couple of times, and even bought it for some really special people; it always reminds me of what I need to be doing to prepare myself for new levels of blessings and favor. You need to be reminded too, and that's exactly what this blog post is for.
Unfortunately, when things aren't going so well, we get too caught up in our "right now" and we don't prepare ourselves for where we're on our way to. Sometimes, we act like this very moment is the "be all and end all" of everything. In reality, you're only passing through this phase. You need to be thinking ahead, conditioning, and positioning yourself to maximize your moment when it comes... because it's right up on you.
What exactly is "your moment"? It's the season when God unexpectedly opens doors that you've been praying about for a long time. He miraculously moves on your behalf. He breaks loose things that have been tied up, and sets you up on your platform for His glory.
That's what your moment is all about. So, let me ask you, are you living your life with little or no expectancy of better things to come? Or are you preparing yourself for your moment? It's just around the corner. That's why you've been going through a seemingly unfair and difficult process of preparation.
It's all for your making. It's only to get you in the right position to operate effectively in your land of promise. So, get your head out of the sand. Lift up your head. Stop fretting. I keep telling you, you won't sink. You're not going under.
Don't you know that God intends to greatly manifest Himself in your life? Don't you realize that where you are today, you will not be always?
You need to be more progressive in your thinking. Know that the intensity of life's trials are no match for the power of God's word. He's already spoken over you and you're undoubtedly on your way to the other side of this storm, where the seas are calm and the pastures are green.
Don't be so short-sighted. Don't get stuck thinking that this is all there is. On the contrary, begin preparing yourself for the new season you're about to walk into. When it comes, will you be ready to maximize it?
Until next time... may you be empowered to prosper!
